Fernando Oliveira was interviewed for a Brazilian TV program last fall. Although we posted the video in our January newsletter, we recently received a subtitled version of that interview:



On February 27, Demian Galindo gave a master class in Guadalajara, Mexico, about the alternative techniques available to the electric bass player.

Sponsored by the International Music Foundation, on March 18, Kimberly Davis and the Ondas Ensemble will be collaborating together in an outreach concert at the UCSN Bartolomé de las Casas School located at 1641 W. 16th St. in Chicago, Illinois. The event begins at 9am.

From March 18 until April 9 Federico Núñez will be on tour in Ecuador as part of the “Sounds of America” (Sonidos de América) project that will be investigating sonic pieces in the archaeological reserves in Guayaquil and Quito.

On April 9, the Khemia Ensemble has a performance scheduled in Cincinnati, Ohio.

On April 13, Carlos Camacho will be performing a work by Samuel Robles, his “El Cristo llora lágrimas de sangre,” for voice, flute, contrabass and percussion, as part of his DMA recital program at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

“Promenade III,” by Angel Hernández, will be premiered by Russian violinist Yury Revich on April 22 at the Bank Austria Salon im Alten Rathaus in Vienna, Austria.
