General Policies and Procedures
All inquiries or requests for price quotes must be made in writing, either by email or through the use of our online quote request form. Sorry, but we do not provide pricing information over the telephone.
We require two to three days to prepare a rental agreement. We may also contact you for additional information during this period. Once prepared, this agreement will be sent electronically for your signature.
Rental materials will ordinarily be shipped within five days after receiving your signed contract. An invoice will be mailed separately to you at the same time. Payment is due within 30 days of the date of the invoice. We accept payment via check, credit card or university/college purchase orders.
Our standard rental period is ten weeks prior to the first performance of our material. You may request an extension to this period; the fee is 10% per week for each additional week that the material is in your possession.
Please review your materials upon receipt and report to us immediately if the set is incomplete or defective in any way. We will provide or replace at no cost to you any incomplete or defective material as long as we are notified within five days after receiving the original materials from us.
You must contact the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) or Broadcast Music International (BMI) (depending on the specific title) to obtain any necessary performing rights licensing. Non-archival recordings may incur additional licensing fees that must be acquired separately; please inquire for further assistance.
Rental materials may not be photocopied or scanned without our written permission. In addition, they may be lightly marked in pencil only. All markings should be erased prior to returning the materials to us. You will be billed for any lost, defaced or damaged materials.
We are happy to offer scores of all of our works on a perusal basis for the purpose of programming or academic study. For $35.00 (this price includes free media mail shipping), up to four scores may be obtained for review for up to two weeks. Click here for more information.
