First Prize Unanimous of the Ville de Paris (1994), and First Prize at the Latin American Flute Competition (Caracas, 2000), Rafael Rincon Gonzalez Award for Cultural Merit (Universidad del Zulia, 2011) and Glenn Korff Outstanding Artistry-Scholarship Award (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2015, Nicaulis Alliey has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician and flute teacher in France and the Caribbean area. Dr. Alliey’s career includes collaborations with renowned musicians such as Alessio Bax, Monique Duphil, and Eduardo Marturet. She has been featured as soloist with most of the major orchestras in Venezuela, and has been First Flute with the Orchestre International de Paris, Assistant Principal Flute with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Lara, and First Flute with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaibo. Dr. Alliey is flutist and board member with Music of the Americas, Duo Alliey, and flutist with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra (NE). She has recorded two CDs with La Cuadra Venezolana, and is featured in the productions and recordings of many Venezuelan artists. She has been a faculty member at the Universidad de Los Andes, featured teacher at “El SISTEMA,” and faculty and Founder Director of the Music School at the Universidad del Zulia. Nicaulis Alliey received a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and holds a Masters of Music from Sorbonne University (Paris), “Études Supérieures” in Flute with renowned flutist Raymond Guiot (Paris), and a degree of ”Profesor Ejecutante” (Venezuela).
