In addition to adding several more of our own editions, we recently signed an agreement with a cultural foundation in Venezuela to represent and distribute the works of Juan Bautista Plaza, who was one of that country’s most significant composers of the 20th century. Since little or no physical material is getting out of Venezuela, making Plaza’s music available here in North America has required working mainly off of digital files provided to us by the foundation. We would like to thank the foundation for this opportunity, and especially, to Juan Francisco Sans, who as the leading light and principal Venezuelan musicologist behind this project, has graciously dedicated many hours towards the success of this uniquely collaborative effort.
