June 16, 2016
This has been the month for big projects. Not only did we complete Luis Ernesto’s multi-movement work for soprano and mixed septet, we also finished Antonio’s exciting new composition for double reed sextet. Not only that, we’re pleased to announce that the latter work is going to be premiered on June 29 at the International Double Reed Society convention that’s being held in Georgia. (Don’t worry—we’ll be publicizing the details on our Facebook page next week).
With these large works done, we’ve now started to turn our attention to the pieces that we have been receiving from our composers in anticipation of the clarinet and flute conventions that we’ll be attending in August. Although a number of these are still being processed, two of them, Luis Pérez Valero’s flute quartet and a lovely new piece for flute and piano, by Andrés Carrizo, were just finished earlier this week.
Do take a look at these, and remember, you don’t have to wait to order: they’re completely done and ready for sale.
