Solo for oboe with piano accompaniment.
Grade 4+. Approx. duration: five and a half minutes.
Set consists of a piano score and one part.
The work begins immersed in an insomniac early-morning environment, in which thoughts, memories, ideas and sensations begin to take shape together to form a dialogue with each other. Then in the second part, all of that seems to expand into a kind of unexpected ecstatic abduction, and insomnia suddenly transforms into an astral journey of the soul, in which consciousness leaves the body and flies over the morning that unfolds.
Composed in Caracas in May 2019, the work is dedicated to Venezuelan oboist Marisel Omaña.
