If the history of a system is known until its current moment, its present status summarizes all the relevant information needed to describe the probability of its future state. By using Russian mathematician Andrey Markov’s probabilistic processes to link various sound and structural parameters of this piece, a box of infinite music continues to generate new events, at the same never managing to escape the statistical procedure through which it was composed. The overall result is that it ends up resembling the story of a set of gestures that consume themselves at the end of a maze.
