Edson Beltrami
Edson Beltrami is a flutist, composer and conductor who is currently assistant conductor and principal solo flutist of the Bachiana Philharmonic Orchestra in São Paulo. He taught composition for ten years at the Tatuí Conservatory in São Paulo and in 2009 was a visiting professor of composition at the Berklee College of Music.
His very eclectic catalog of works, that includes compositions for chamber ensembles, orchestras, symphonic bands and ballet, have been performed and recorded by soloists and ensembles from various countries, such as France, Switzerland, Spain, Russia and the United States. He has developed a particularly intense relationship with bands throughout the world, and has had his works included in several World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) programs. He has been an invited speaker at events and conferences in Spain, Brazil and the USA.
