Flute solo with piano accompaniment.
Grade 6. Approx. duration: twelve minutes.

The Spanish word “Parancero” means bird catcher, and it can be applied to any hunter who uses nets and traps. Dirié envisions the pianist as the one who tells the story, as well as the one who plays the role of the hunter. The flute, typical of its traditional role in virtually every culture, may represent a bird.
