Grade 4. Approx. duration: four minutes.
Set consists of a piano score and one part.
“Nostalgias” is a piece in which traditional Andean themes and modern atonal writing converge. The piece takes a tour of a diversity of emotional states, from violent agitation to serene contemplation, but always returns to the same starting point: melancholy and longing. At the end of this journey the sound dissolves, the piano disappears and only the oboe remains as a representation of the loneliness that shadows everyone.
