Set consists of a score and three parts.
The title of the work (“Creole Images” in English), refers to so-called Creole music, a genre of Peruvian popular music that reveals European, African and Andean influences. Although Creole music is an important benchmark in contemporary Peruvian culture, its era of greatest popularity, creation and dissemination was probably during the second half of the twentieth century. In this sense, the references that are made in this composition to styles representative of Creole music evoke images of the past. The work is divided into three sections. The first section is based on the style of the Creole waltz, the second is a freestyle interlude, and the third is based on the Mariner dance.
