During the height of the Covid pandemic in 2022, Miguel Astor composed a collection of works for unaccompanied instruments, one each, from piccolo to string bass; that is, for the instruments that make up a symphony orchestra. In each of these etudes the composer explores the various technical, rhythmic and melodic aspects characteristic to each instrument within the system of “Multimodal Tonality” that was developed by the composer.
This edition consists of three etudes, one each for flute, piccolo and alto flute.
