Single-movement work for viola and string orchestra.
Grade 5. Approx. duration: 16 minutes.

Principally composed in a tonal language, this 2016 work is essentially programmatic, in that each of its four sections is inspired in the composer’s memories of visits to the southern region of Chile with its richly varied natural features.
The US premiere was given by Joyce Ramée, viola, and the Tacoma Youth Symphony on May 22, 2022, in that city‘s Rialto Theater.
The viola and piano version of this work is
sold separately.
