Young string orchestra (Violin I & II, Viola/Vln. III, Violoncello, String bass, Piano).
Grade 3. Approx. duration: two and a half minutes.
Set includes a score and six parts.
By using various elements found in the tango, this grade two composition from Argentina seeks to expand the interpretative and music reading abilities of its performers. This work not only features alternating homophonic and polyphonic sections, but also, through the use of instrumental subgroups, there are at times overlapping textures, of which some give prominence to common rhythmic devices, such as syncopation.
