This grade two piece from Venezuelan uses melodic and rhythmic elements from Caribbean musical genres typical of carnival festivities in the region. The overlapping of different rhythmic patterns to achieve complex textures, characteristic of these genres, is the main challenge faced by the instrumentalists.
