“Cuatro piezas para insectos” (Four Pieces for Insects) takes its name from the whim of creating a similar musical idea for the four animals represented in each of its four movements (ants, cicadas, chryalises and bees). This does not mean that this is strictly programmatic music; rather, these particular creatures served only as the starting point of musical inspiration.
This work was the third place winner in the CILASiM First International Composition Competition in 2020.
