Set consists of a score and one part.
The title of this work refers to the sensations that a solitary aboriginal individual would contemplate while in the foothills of some South American mountain. The sonority of the work is based on the rhythm of the baguala, which is a musical genre typical of northwestern Argentina that may have originated prior to the Spanish conquest. The melody of the baguala is accompanied by a shallow skin-covered drum that is struck with a soft beater.
This work was premiered in the great hall of the Tallinn Central Library in Estonia on April 16, 2019, by the Duo Telluur (Heli Ernits, English horn; Kirill Ogorodnikov, guitar).
