Wind quintet for flute, alto flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon.
Grade 5-6. Approx. duration: a little more than nine minutes.
Set includes a score and five parts.
The brief ten movements of this wind quintet were composed in 2004.
This work is based on the use of five notes, D, E, F, A and B, that are distributed amongst the five instruments. As the work develops ever more larger leaps are used as well as increasing chromaticism. In addition, the composer integrates displaced loops and extended techniques, such as aeolian sound, singing while playing, key slaps and breathing noises.
