Septet for flute, clarinet, percussion, piano, violin, cello and contrabass.
Grade 5-6. Approx. duration: almost eight minutes.
Set includes score and seven parts.
“Kügue kirá ni ña” (The History of the Rabbit Indians) is inspired in a legend about the indigenous people who lived in the western area of present-day Panama. According to tradition, the Rabbit Indians (ña) were fierce warriors, perhaps even cannibalistic, who were constantly being attacked by other groups.
Camacho uses extreme ranges, colorful timbres and densities of sound to build an effective sonic impression of these war-like people.
